The DiTEC Complete Teak Cleaner & Protection System
"The Professional’s Choice for Golden Teak"
Stop using harsh acids that scrub away your teak's lifespan and potentially damage your gelcoat. At True Wind Marine, we’ve tried nearly every teak product on the market aboard our own vessels in the rugged Maine elements. This three-part system from DiTEC Marine is, quite simply, the best we’ve ever used.
This curated bundle gives you everything you need to bring gray, weathered teak back to a showroom-gold finish and keep it that way for the entire season.
What’s in the Bundle:
Step 1: Teak Magic Cleaner (Part 1): A deep-cleaning alkaline formula that lifts dirt, graying, and old oils out of the wood grain without damaging the soft fibers. It’s powerful, yet biodegradable and safe for your hardware.
Step 2: Teak Magic Brightener (Part 2): Neutralizes the cleaner and instantly restores the natural pH and brings out the warm, golden hue of the wood. Watch the transformation happen in seconds.
Step 3: TRITON 2.0 Teak Protector: Triton 2.0 is a high-tech, breathable nano-coating. It bonds to the wood to provide massive UV protection and water repellency while maintaining that natural "sanded" look and feel.
Why This Bundle?
- Preserves the Wood: No heavy scrubbing or aggressive sanding required.
- Advanced UV Protection: Triton 2.0 prevents the "silver-gray" look caused by sun damage.
- Long-Lasting Results: One application of Triton 2.0 can last up to a full season, unlike traditional oils that wash away in weeks.
- Professional Pedigree: Used by the world's most prestigious yacht crews to maintain teak decks worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Captain’s Note: "We use these products on our own charter boats. It’s the only product that protects our teak from spills and stains while maintaining that new teak look for the entire season.
For the Best Results:
- Temperature Matters: Apply Triton 2.0 when the deck temperature is between 50°F and 90°F. Avoid application in direct midday sun to prevent the product from drying too quickly.
- The "Water Test": After applying Step 2 (Brightener) and rinsing, wait for the wood to dry completely. If water beads up, there is still old oil present. If it absorbs evenly, you are ready for the Triton 2.0 shield.
- No Pressure Washers: Always use a soft-to-medium deck brush. Pressure washers can blow out the "pulp" between the grain, leading to a "washboard" texture that ruins the look of the teak.
Coverage: This bundle will clean and protect the cockpit and swim platform of a 30-40 foot boat. For larger projects, consider multiple bundles or check out our Large Boat Bundle for boats over 50 feet.
